remember that "easy" and "quick" can have very different meanings or levels to any of us. For example, to Danny who has been doing an awesome job on his ride modifying with alot of welding and bodywork involved could think it's any "easy" (although not "quick") mod. But for most of us, it ain't EASY!! (this is just an asumption). I admire any guy or gal with that level or any skill.

Washing your ride and keeping it clean is a good thing. Custom wheels and tires are probably one of the easy mods.
For me, doing the V8 swap was not complicated. I have mechanical skills (I think) and had all the parts needed for the swap and tools. I did it with no help so I would say it was easy (but not cheap) and very worth it.
Lowering was not complicated. Just had all the right components.

Doing a basic Billet Grill insert is not complicated. Adding Bod Kits is not complicated.
It basically depends on your skills or knowing the right people or just having tons of money (not my case!!).

So to answer your question, in my case, everything that has been done to my van will qualify as "easy". Maybe not "quick" or "cheap". But I think we all have different opinions, and that's what makes it fun. If not we would all have vehicles that would look alike. Our common ground so far is we all like or need or just ended up with a van, and then many personalize it.

I'm just a van kind of guy.
This mod for my rear license plate is not a common one. I did it and fabricated a billet grill to go with it. The grill covers the (2) third brake lights. To open the rear doors you have to undo the plate on one side (left door) so the first door swings open. The plate is held by 4 "swes buttons" that only take a second to undo. The "frenched" plate pockets are from "Sir Michaels" (2 of them) and the handle to open the door was moved to the inside. This is a mod I just came up with without seeing it on any other van. To some, this is a dumb useless mod. To me, it's my mod.

Bend your antenna to match the line of your van. It looks better IMO and is an easy and free mod. Ray really said it best. The easiest and quickest mods are not always the most desireable. Have fun doing whatever you decide!

thanks guys, kind of mods could just mean removing a spark arresting grill in an air intake for more air flow, or changing plugs, or turning steering control arms over, shimming up turbo actuators, changing cats etc, u get what i mean but i hoped to hear things that realy work not like debatable things such as adding acetone to petrol( which i found worked).... things that u can do simply on a sunday morning up your drive.

The easiest mod I found which could cost alot or almost nothing is the way YOU THINK.Yeah kind of direct comment, but how true isn't it??.  If you expand what you think you can do,more than likely you will be suprized as to how well it worked out for you.If it seems some know alot, well let me tell ya only a fool stops learning.Everytime I get involved in something new-well it is a lession hopfully well learned. So reach for the stars and you can be very proud(no matter how small or large) of what you got done with your own hands.

So do a low restriction intake and exhaust (and keep it waxed so the air flows better off the body  ). This is a square heavy vehicle, not intended for racing or saving gas :shhh: and I never expected mine to be a fuel efficient vehicle. That's why I had no problem swaping in the V8. I get the same fuel efficiency (or better) as before, but have some extra ponies and torque....oh, and the rumble of a V8!! love it.
When I wanna save gas, I drive my Mazda3 ;)

I have seen twice a tv news program that had a feature about a three wheel van.Looks like a Aerostar front and rear.Single wheel up front.Gets 70 mpg.National Safety Councel gave it a thumbs down in a front end crash.Just don't understand everyone buying into the current gas pricing. Why don't we fight back?????????.Seems everyone is trying to get better mileage vs saying we won't pay for gas at that price.Well I guess that is a whole nother thread.Sorry, didn't mean to jack you thread.

One quick predicetable performence helper for me has ben AC rapide fire with the single narrow electrode thay throw a hot spark even after years of use.
If you add a after market coil and module increace the gap and vwala 3 hp increase acrost the whole power range. If youre good with circuit boards you can skip the after market coil by increasing the coil voltage to 16v using a dc to dc up converter just dont go over 16.5v or it will over heat the coil. Tbi spacers help a little in the torque department. Cat back exaust is good for a few more poneys. If you dont use the back seats very often take them out. Im listing less comon ones. Hope this helps

gary, i think your problems over there has to be the size of the country it would be a major task to motivate people to action, im sure that something will happen hope its inspired by the truckers who started it all off here in the uk by using rolling road blocks and blockading fuel depots to stop fuel leaving them it brought the uk to its knees in days, although the uk is a tiny island by your standards and the action im telling u about was a few years ago now as i said our fuel is the most expensive in europe at £1.20 a litre $2.40 roughly to you, and we pay road tax too which at the moment is £200.00- $400.00 a year
expensive motoring!!
