Passenger side manifold to exhaust connection (before the cat). This damn bolt won't budge. The other 5 were ok. Seemed to be 14mm but that isn't working. The bolt itself is 7 mm but I'm nervous about breaking my 7mm socket leaning too hard on that. Gave it plenty of Mooveit. I don't have a blow torch but I have a wee butane torch. I'll try hitting it with that . Any other suggestions?

I can't seem to get hold of it well enough. I guess I could take the manifold off and take the whole thing to a shop.
It doesn't seem to be about leverage as much as grip.
I'm worried that if I cut it off at the nut, I'll have to drill out the top part because it's threaded too.

To expand on what was already mentioned, once you are able to break the exhaust sections apart after cutting the nut side, you will have the length of stud that passed through the flange to work with to get the rest out, should be able to get it off with some vice grips, and to be sure a long heating with your torch

I doubt he can cut off that rusty nut without damaging the stud at least some. Those studs are cheap, a lot cheaper than a specialty tool, though i want that.

I remember the exhaust flange hardware being sae not metric so maybe a 9/16 6pt deep socket being a little bit tighter might give you enough grip. And heat.

I wonder if the non-threaded part of the stud is what's stuck.

Those three all came out with a 15mm deep socket, just like that. We had one stuck in the '02 that wouldn't come out for love, money, or oxy-acetylene persuasion.
