I agree it is your van and Just because I dislike something does not mean your time and talents are not worthy. My point was not that you should not do that or its a crime or anything of the sort. I said its not for me. People here in California at car shows have this idea that it has to be a 1974 vehicle or older just because thats the law here that a 74 or older vehicle does not require smog tests so the bozo's at the car shows I have been to will not accept anything newer in the shows. What that does is creates a situation whereas either you be like them or you stay away from car shows which actually hurts the custom car market here and it causes most younger generations to buy Honda's and other foreign vehicles so in ten or twenty years there will be less and less real American hot rods and muscle cars. So in a sense there prejudice is ruining the future of hot rods and hot rodding. I feel any car can be a hot rod since hot rod means to make a car your own and faster. So go right ahead and build that van how ever you wish as I am mine. Making my 89 Astro AWD would make it more rare since GM started making AWD Astro's/Safari's in 1990 and then lowering it to make it handle better. I doubt I will do it but I still wanted to know about it. I am old school so I still like the big back tires and smaller front tires look but I also would like my Astro lower then it is and close to even front to rear. Markmitch

Good Guys car Shows require the "show car" to be 25 years old or older. Good Guys are the only club that has that requirement as far as I know. If you go to any other show that is not an established "Good Guys" show you will see any number of newer cars and trucks. My club just helped out at a show Sunday and we had stock Model A's and brand new Mustangs and Corvettes attending.

Well ... The Van is eligible to be in the Show then.
I can get that License Plate that proves it - lol.

Actually I think Goodguys is limited to 1972 and older.
Yup, you are right, 1972 or older. Don't know what I was thinking of... maybe historical plates or something... I was looking at those for my wagon a while back...
Sorry for the mis-information. :(

Hey Duck, what size wheels and tires are you running? Looking for width, back spacing and offset on the rims.

Ha yeah, caught her doing a runner from the scene!

Astroracer they are 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear, I believe they are zero offset both front and rear but I'll try and dig them out and check the boxes. The tire in the photo I trial fitted is a 285/30/20. Hope this helps!

Okay, thanks! Gives me something to think about. I was crawling under the '94 this afternoon and I found it has already been dropped in the back. Looks like a BellTech flip kit with no notch. I thought the front spring hangers looked a little low, now I know why! :)

Anyone know what tire size Duckstar is running here?

Are those stock sized wheels?

Planning the lowering project on my '98 AWD. Going to run stock-ish size tires on 15x8 or 15x7. Ideally I think a 225/70R15.

I want a neatural drop front and rear with no rake, are his torsion keys completely removed here?

Is it just me or does the front look lower than the rear?

He was down with it all about 4... 5 years ago... but we have not heard from him since. Something about Vins Mafia Toocumcarryout for Greek descent. And there was the blurb about Jack set up. Jack and his firring strips held together with 4 x 4 cribbing.

And... I too... want a "neautural" look as I am sure it will catch off or get caught on the corner of... well, you known. or reknown or freedom.

The look is as good as a decent Indian name. My wife's fake Indian name is stands with fists ( no caps. ).
Pretty cool. It was appreciated out west as we were at least remembering the New Dehli farmer's Market.

Seems pretty level too - looks almost like it has slicks on the back.
Looks like. Looking forward to more pics, any inside - clean enough for a pic... hmmm?
