Yep.

The Chevy housings are less than ⅛" taller than the GMC housings and will not fit with the GMC grille. Fortunately, the GMC housings are marked.

Yeah, that's what I see in this thread, but part numbers say different, both are 2nd gen in the links I posted.

Leeann, is there a part number on the GMC lens?
Maybe we can confirm part numbers for future reference.

I'll be going to a P&P this week, I'll see if I can pull part numbers just for some concrete info on the PNs.
Leeann, did you swap the steering wheel airbag also to GMC?
Thinking I might depending on what they charge, or maybe if they let me swap lol

They may not be interchangeable. The Safari I pulled some parts off at the JY was a 98 and the wheel/airbag was different than my 97. Not sure if it was a 97 to 98 difference or actual differences between the two.

Quick check shows it to be a model year difference. 96-97 different from 98
