Depends entirely on the Look you are going for.

For this specific Van I did, I think the Rocket Racing wheels I chose looked great.

Right now I have a Safari with the Stainless OEM wheels, and I can't wait to change them!

I agree and stay away from 18 to 22 " wheels or you will have to buy all new suspension parts and replace wheels every month and tires even sooner. These vans were designed with 15 or 16" wheels and not for going coo coo and those big wheels and lo pro tires will make it ride like a dozer and look like a retard. -Just one mans opinion based on facts.

Best looking wheels in my opinion, are fat raised-white letter tires on polished Centerlines!
15x10 rear (5" backspace), 15x8 front (4" backspace).. Astro or Safari.

But this is an old-school hot-rod raked look, particularly nice in my opinion, on a Gen1 cargo shorty.
For a full size Gen 2... it's a different story altogether!

There are SO many different looks!
What look do you want?

* Modern?
* Vintage?
* All matching?
* Lowered?
* BIG rims?
* Big rubber?
* Painted?
* Chrome?
* Flat
* Shiny?
* Aluminum?
* Spokes?
* Deep offset?
* Shallow offset?
* Skinny?
* Fat?
* Tall?
* Short?
* Old school?
* Racing?
* Stock?
* Off-Road?

Did I leave any out?

You need to decide what YOU like!
Not what we like...

This my wheel combo I got a set of the 97ish factory steel chrome wheels from a Safari and then a set of center caps from an 80's era chevy 2 wheel drive truck set the caps on the wheel drilled holes put bolts into the holes put a nut on the backside of the wheel on each bolt. Then I welded the nut onto the wheel and took the bolts out. Put the center cap on then put the bolts through the cap into the nut on the back of the wheel. So now I have a cheap custom looking set of wheels on my van for the price of one custom wheel. And unless somebody copies me they are one off.

Ive settled with the 80/90's sierra pick up rim, made famous by the 454SS
I got a set off of a chev and put a 2'convex mirror in the center of the cap to cover the bowtie...I'm partial to the Safari over the Astro.
They fit like a glove and give me enough room to put a 275 60/15 on the back with just enough room to slide the door..

I want to try and use my 18x8 25mm offset Nissan titan wheels on the safari. I'dget hubcentric rings from 100 to 78.1. I do need 31" tire as well......

Maybe it's just me but 18's are "small". I've got 22's on my ford flex now, had 22" spinners 15+ years ago on my dodge ram and then went to 24's (not spinners) currently have 18's on my monte Carlo...... :shrug:

Needless to say, I'll probably stick to 16" or 17" for the van. I just like my Titan wheels and wanted to save money by moving them to the safari.

I totally love the 454SS wheels! If only i could get my hands on a set... IMO the Safari/Astro looks best with them, regardless lifted, or not! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
