I am trying to replace all the bearings in my transfer case, but one of them is behind the tach wheel. (1370-110-002) I can't find a new tach wheel and the existing one has "do not reuse" stamped on it. It seems I have to remove the tach wheel to replace the bearing and am wanting to know why I can't reuse the existing tach wheel. Before removing it I am wondering if anyone here knows the reason the tach wheel can't be reused.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem may be to reuse the tach wheel?

I am leaning toward leaving the tach wheel and that bearing alone, since I can't find a replacement tach wheel.

Thanks guys..great help. excellent find AstroWill. I have put it all back together now.
The bearing was not bad...just had some miles on it. I will just leave it alone.

I was rebuilding the transfer case as a winter project for fun.

To shed some light on why it is a Do Not Reuse part.
It looks to be an aluminum alloy part pressed fit onto the shaft. Just the act of pulling it off would be enough to cause it to distort and unable to maintain proper fit when reinstalled.
