Hi, I replaced the rotor, pads and caliper (passanger side) on my 97 astro, and for some reason (on certian corners) it soulds like it grinds, I checked the rotor for groves and all seems to be fine, I have excellent stopping ability, and it doesnt pull, WTF could it be? Any Ideas

check the bearings my outer one went bad and made a grinding noise when turning

Im sorry I sould have worded that better, it doesnt make noise when I turn....It makes noise when im slowing to a stop (10-0mph) but only at certian intersections...always the same ones....any ideas

could be an abs speed sensor jack the front up and check stabilizer and front suspension dont rule out the bearings.

what sensors mine are disconnected ripped em clean off when draggin down the freeway at 65mph tire went right threw em :whack:

Was it making the noise before you did the brakes?
If not maybe you bent the shield behind the rotor and now its touching the rotor?
I've had it happen before, it makes a sound like something is grinding!

I will have to check the shied, thats a possibility.......Prior to the parts change the old caliper was seized, the pads were worn (within limits) and the old rotor was warped...If that helps
