Are you asking regarding the Astro's original pan, or a V8 pan for a conversion? If for the 4.3, given the way the V8 pans are, I would think that any 4.3 pan would do. This is assuming same drive type. For V8 pans, most any SBC pan will do.

4.3 AWD oil pan is the same as the S-10 4x4 but certain years are steel and some are aluminum. As for the rear drive oil pans they are different then the AWD/4x4 pans otherwise same thing either steel or aluminum. If your pan is steel then you have to replace with steel if aluminum then you must replace with aluminum. Hope that helps. New aluminum should still be available, the steel are not available except for used.

You mean specifically the steel AWD pans are hard to come by, or?
Damn, another reason to go with a v8, larger oil pan selection ;)

the aluminum pans are still available new but the steel are not. The V8 pan for AWD is a custom item only. But any V8 small block pan will work on the rear drive.
