Daytime running lights (DRL)on 2005 Astro with autolight feature.
Is anyone aware of a process that would disconnect the DRL full time. Owners manual states to turn key to run position and depress the "domelight override" button 4 times. This does work however on the next key cycle the DRL are on again :( . Wifey doesn't like this feature.

Thanks! Eustisgoober

Hmmm, they remained off when I did that in my 2000.

In Grumpy I pulled the DRL fuse in the fuse box by the drivers feet.

Hi, I have troubles with my Astro built in 2000. With the fuse #15 in place it sucks 0.8 amps out of the battery. The #15 is marked as "TBC". Is that the same like the "DRL". What is the max. amps you would allow to loose if the car just sits??? Where is the DRL- box, how does it look like?

Thanks for help, Vanfan.

Hi vanfan2

Hmm, TBC or BCM? Fuse block #15 for your year (2000 Astro) from what I'm seeing, is Body Control Module (BCM). It's normal if it is the BCM, no worries.

It's not the same as DRL.:)
