I just noticed that my Daytime Running Lights are not coming on when the Van (95 AWD Safari Canadian Model) is running. Is there a fuse that controls them or is there a module and or switch that needs to be checked out. I have looked in the Owners Manual and there is not a fuse that is mentioned. Any help is greatly appreciated. :flags-canada:

Is the parking brake totally off?? There is a ground wire at the base of the parking brake assy. When the park brake is on, the wire grounds and the driving lights go off, you could just unplug it and see what happens I guess.

Stupid question, but do you high beams work?

Otherwise, if you turn the headlights on then off, does it wake them up? If so, clean the headlight plug connections.

My '95 Suburban currently has the first problem (I'll fix it tomorow, thanks to a forcasted 5 degrees C) and my '93 Astro has had the second problem.

Good Luck!

Hi Bearsdad
I would check the parking brake first. Just pull up on it when it has been released and see what happens. Theirs a small plastic switch hooked up the the parking brake frame work that operates the DRLs at that point you can check as well. With my year (and should be with yours) their is a fuse marked DRL at the fuse box located inside, under the dash, just left of the brake pedal up on the firewall. You might want to check that as well to make sure it's not blown. Hope something here helps. Please keep us updated,Thanks.:)
