I'm a member of another forum that inside of the off topic section there is a sub section for deep off topic/adult. In order to get to the adult section, you must be a member and you must type in the password: adult.

This way if members want to talk about things that arent necessarily appropriate for the younger audiences, they can post it there.

I'm not saying we need this, but looking through here I saw a naked fat lady eating cake. If I had kids I dont think I'd want them seeing that.

Here at AstroSafari.com we have a Restricted Area/Explicit Content category. It is at the bottom of the main page. That area is restricted to registered users only, guests cannot even view it. It also does not come up in any search results because it is set to non-indexed. That way nobody browsing the site can accidentally run across anything they don't want to see. The restricted area does not require a password because it has already required a user to register an account and log in to view and post there.

The fat lady eating cake was something I posted to be funny. I've removed that post and I am sorry if it offended anyone. That type of material will only be posted in the restricted area where it belongs. This is a family friendly site and we intend to keep it that way.

Hi Mr Austin,
An additional password for this area is a good idea.
There is a reason that the old 'anything goes' forum had another password. Many folks stayed logged in when they were on AS.com.
I know because I did it myself many times. You go back & forth doing stuff...And it doesn't make any sense to log in & out.
Now, say you have a kid & you're involving them in your auto-repair activities, teaching them, & stuff... You don't want to have to explain to a child why they shouldn't click on the 'adult' area of the site. And IMO you shouldn't have to. That's where the second password comes into play...
