10 Months ago completed the hell day installing a Belltech 769SP kit in my shop 2000 Astro RWD, if anyone is thinking of installing one of these I recommend throwing out the supplied instructions and striking yourself in the head with a ball peen hammer repeatedly, its a shit install start to finish.

All finished and stance is good, front is road race car stiff and rear super soft with the stock leaf springs though, fast forward 10 months and my Belltech supplied front shocks have shat themselves in under a year and 5K miles, so my question is why do I need shorter shocks? I would think my travel has been reduced but still operating in the normal range, why not use a Bilstein or Kayaba stock length front shock?

My guess would be the valving being different because the shock designers know that it only has X amount of travel instead of Y.
