Hey all, my boyfriend and I like to work on our bikes and on our car when we have the time and money to upgrade. Our latest modification was installing some drum brakes.

Anyway, I was online this morning checking out some different products when I saw an electric supercharger. It was significantly cheaper than your conventional supercharger AND it said you'd increase MPG. Is this believable or a scam? Because if it worked, and gave our car torque AND less time at the pumps, I AM IN!!

Who let this person on the site? Look at all of holliemarie's posts. This is what you call a human spammer disguised as an actual member.

Methinks there were some links earlier when I saw this post, that seem to have been removed.

There were, I saw them. I didn't click on them, but I saw them.

I don't know, I wouldn't pass judgment on her yet. She passes the Google test, she likes the funny videos, she questions the legality of scissor style doors in her state, and wants to know if these electric superchargers actually work. Thus far I'd say she's an automotive newb with a 1996 Astro.

hollimarie, please help to clarify your status. Give us more about your van. Post some pics.

Quick search online shows that the E-Chargers wouldn't be worth the time/money.

It was, I removed it. The link was to a site selling parts, and not parts for our vans. I was scratching my head because I didn't know if AA was joking or serious and not deleting the link for some other reason.

How about we let them slide with a bumper sticker advertising the fact instead? After all, someone's gotta make the fries!

(was that too harsh?)

not too harsh. just not well accepted in the societies PC view today. its a shame too. i would rather them make fries than perform important tasks such as take an order or make change. that stuff is important to me to be correct

Don't get me started on the way cashiers give change now. They want us out of the way quickly so they can get to the next customer, yet they make us do that insipid balancing act with the coins sliding around on top of the bills. :screaming: I'd have been fired for that when I was a cashier. State the total, count up the change to the next dollar, then the bills to the amount tendered.

Off rant, back on topic-
Electric chargers are a waste, or you'd see them everywhere by now.
