Hello,

We have an 2001 AWD Astro and the engine light on the dash has come on. I know that on our old Jimmy, I was able to short out couple of pins and was able to read the error code.

With our Astro, can I do the same thing? If so how.

The quick answer is no. The OBDII systems must be must be read with a scanner. The light must also be turned off with a scanner.
