Hi herbal_gardens
I would get a couple more temperature readings from other sources to confirm your Ext Temp is inaccurate. If it is, then you could have a look at the sensor itself to make sure it isn't covered with dirt to prevent correct readings. That sensor should be on the Hood Latch Support Bracket located right at the center of the Front Grill opening. Hope this helps. Please keep us updated, Thanks. :)

Checked the censor, clean as a whistle, however it gave me a 42 F reading today and the outside temp was 22 to 24 depending on the bank I drove by, not to mention the news said it was 23 in my area today....So its definatly off! Thanks for the post Matrix. ~Chris

Hi herbal_gardens
The next step would be to check the sensor itself with an Ohm Meter for correct resistance. It is recommended to remove the sensor from the harness to perform the tests.
-Remove Grill
-Remove Temp Sensor by lifting upwards
-Remove from harness

Installation is reverse.

Here is the chart readings to check the sensor, please keep us updated, Thanks. :)

Matrixx ... Thanks for this.

We have a place here called Pick and Pull (was Pick your Part) that I like to get to once a month or so.

Last fall I picked up an overhead Compass/Thermometer trip computer... It all worked except for outside temperature.

Today after reading this I went there and found the sensor you described, installed it and voila I now have external temperature.

Thanks again.
