Hi Everyone!

My 92 Safari XT has these Amazing white and gold stripes on it. My issue is that now I need to paint the van because it is getting a new hood and fenders due to an accident. I do not want to let got of these stripes because it just really adds to the nostalgia of the van! does anyone know where I could maybe find a list of who sell these stripes? I know that the uses certain companies to put the stripes on but I cannot figure out where to get them. These are a few pics of the van and the stripes that I am talking about. These stripes go all the way around the van and are commonly found on the 92-94 SLT models. I have only seen a few other vans with these stripes and they were SLTs.

Doh, my post didn't go through.
It's been some years sense I've done stripping, but that looks like a typical two stripe tape. Check www.eastwood.com or talk the the guy's at the body shop. If they don't do it they'll know someone that does.

Thank you both Mr_Bowtie and Jasen!

Sadly, I have checked with local Body Shops and paint shops also. They were not able match up any of the stripes. I do know that this is actually a one piece stripe and as I stated before, it was used from 92-94. These are the only vans I have seen with those stripes. They also only come with the Ivory White Paint.

I checked Eastwood's site for something close but it doesn't look like they have what I need. I think I'll give them a call in the morning. Sometimes I wish there was a way that I could have avoided that accident all together but that was when I was young and not as experienced of a driver.

Thanks again for the suggestions and someone let me know if you think of anything else. This van Will not be painted until I can come up with a feasible solution to this issue!

If you really want the stripes and can't find and tape to match, a good body shop should be able to paint a pretty close match.

I can match those up! Best bet for identical color match would be to cut a small section of the hood out since it looks like you'll be replacing that anyways. Send the piece to me and I can set it up as a 1 piece application again and ship them back to you.
You can contact me through email or through my website!

Doug,

Thanks for the info. So you really think you could match it up? That would be amazing! I'll be getting in touch with you to see how we can go about this. Thanks sooo much. This just really made my day!

Everyone else,

Thank you soo much for the suggestions! I'll be in touch with Doug at Mobile Customs. Thank you again for the compliments on The Bus! It will be back. This whole fiasco happened back in May of 07 and ever since, I've been slowly working on it. It is drivable now except for the fact that it needs a new rear differential. I was driving it and it was doing fine until the diff went out. Hopefully, i will pick up a used one tomorrow! I'll have updated pics soon!

thanks again!
