So i swapped out my rear diff. and completely forgot that if i was changing the gear ratio in the back i have to change them to the same ratio in the front. Correct? So are these the same ring and pinions as the rear end ring n pinion??? And i've never seen a front diff. Is there a thread where they swap these parts on here somewhere?

Yep, have to change ratios front and rear. The front uses a 7.2" reverse cut gear and the back uses 7.5" (1982 - 1988) or 7.6" (1989 - 2005) gears.
