Almost done with replacing most of the steering and suspension components on my 2000 Safari AWD. I purchased Mevotech upper and lower control arms, tie rods, stabilizer bar and links, idler arms, drag link, and Gabriel shocks all around. The midwest is hard on this old girl. Some of the pieces came off easier than others. I had to really fight the passenger-side lower control arm to come out. The bolt was seized in the bushing tube. It took a few hacksaw blades and a cutting wheel to get it out. The new bolt should be delivered to my house tonight. I scheduled an alignment for Friday, so hopefully I can take her for a spin this weekend! Here's some photos from the project so far.

I like the shop space...there is nothing much better than having a dry space to spread out, other than having a dry warm space with a lift. :)
Yes, I am a bit jealous.
I have the heated space, but it is already too full to get a vehicle inside:(
I am also partial to the color of your van.

Do mine next, I'm in ohio so mines just as bad! Lmao.

All of my stuff is kind of rusty and nasty. I tried replacing my sway bar last year before the snow hit but the bolts wouldn't budge and actually broke a socket. The sway bar had that split on the eyelets since it was the stock sway bar and the end links disintegrated when I took them off so I just got a grinder and cut the sway bar tube flush with the frame. I'll just have a shop do all the front end stuff, I dont feel like making a weekend project into a month of breaking and waiting for stuff

Spray it all well with Kroil or PB-Blaster, and let it soak!
The shop might charge ypou extra to work on rusty stuff that will not come apart, and/or charge extra to replace broken bolts.
Do a favor to yourself, your wallet, and the shop. Spray them down, well before you take it in, and pay somebody else to do it.
