Just wondering what everyones opinion is on a suspension mod to a 97 safari. I want to eventually go for a wide tire rear end slanted to the front look on it. What would be a better way of achieving this? By droping the front? or raising the rear. I know the rear is pretty easy to raise because you don't need drop spindles and all that. Just wondering what everyone things on this one.

Put a little bit larger (and wider) tire in the rear. If the tire is too large you will be forced to lift the rear. 
I agree with you that doing drop spindles in the front would be more difficult. The install on those is no walk in the park for sure. My knuckles were bloody by the time mine were in.
