Mine have custom made tabs.. I had to modify everything for use with my phantom grill anyway, which uses both. Don't sweat the tabs.. just make something. When the hood is closed, no one will ever know the difference.
If you got any around that you are turning down for lack of tabs, There's an owner in Washington state that's looking for just the bow tie that fits in the grill.
Aside from that, I have to agree with the above two statements. My 92 has been garage kept and not driven 37k miles yet, and has at least one broke tab. The day I bought it I noticed the grill sitting a little off. I was able to pop it back in place though, as the tab itself was still being held by the screw / bolt / whatever it is. (I forgot). Now that this is mentioned, maybe I'll hit it with some JB weld or E6000.
