I blew off these things for a while but i got to playing with one and actually liked it alot. Enough to eventually buy one

I switched from Verizon to Cincinati bell. Cable, home phone, internet, cell phones. Dropped all the other Carriers. Bundle special. 20X faster internet, 85 extra cable channels for 150 bucks less a month. Had to go.
Anyway I got the HTC Inspire 4G.

Got a samsung galaxy tablet 10.1. It was only $300 so thats why I got it. Had just one left. The newer 10.1 had Android 4.0 and was $400. Mine has 3.0. I wasnt going to spend that much extra for a newer version that really is hardly any different. My phone is a Samsung Nexus S with android 2.0 and I love it. It was free when I went to renew my 2 year contract.
If you want to upgrade your tablet, a website called rootzwiki is a great site.. can find useful info on how to.. but warning its addicting. You can upgrade that nexus s to 2.3 it's leaps and bounds over 2.0.. either way.. congrats.. galaxy tab is a great tablet. I am jealous.Shad0wXCalibur said:

Well yes. It is 2.3.4. And it is rooted. I'm not going to bother rooting the tablet though. I'm afraid to do that to something I paid $300 for
Well honestly android has come so far reasons for rooting have really reduced my gnex is rooted and custom rommed but only for extra bells and whistles.. like extra toggles on the lock screen etc.. I used to flash all new stuff all the time now only if a new feature is introduced.

Mine keeps having annoying reminders. Upgrades and new features which will self install. There are upgrades like twice a week.bratliff said:

It would not show certain peoples names, only their numbers even though I had them in contacts, if they were on facebook. Went in to programming from the usb cord on disk drive setting. Erased facebook programs and it works now.
I like the feature of picking up internet and satellite.
I found mine in a shopping cart. Was done loading the van. Was pushing the cart back in the rack. What it this? Normally I call somebody in contacts and ask if they know the number. Meet them and return it.
This one was locked. Made it kinda tough. Put in my sim card hit reset.It rebooted Done.
I have never had a virus, (knocks on wood) but I also don't really use Facebook. I actually have deactivated my account.. I warn everyone to pay very close attention to the apps they download. A lot are phishing for your information, That's a bad thing about android being so open.

Still, I'm glad Android is as open as it is. That's why me and many other people have it in the first place! So we don't have to get Apple's crap. I make fun of iPhones all the time and almost everyone I know that had one finally ditched it for an Android. And their iPads are incredibly overpriced especially for how limited they are compared to Android tablets. A 16 GB iPad would have costed $150+ more than the tablet I just bought. And like Android phones, there's a huge variety of tablets. Some people want a small one (they make the Galaxy Tab down to a 7") and they're even cheaper than the big ones. Usually $250 or so. But I spent the extra $50 because I wanted the big 10" screen . It's like holding the screen to a netbook.

A coworker got a droid and I saw what it could do then it was all over.. I recomend Iphone's to certain people they are great for people that want to just get on facebook, email and internet.. my wife for instance.. she hates my android phone.. loved my my iphone.. she has a blackberry now.. (work phone..) I personally am glad they are all out there.. it promotes growth.. for me personally android is it.. I actually got two ipod touches for partial payment on the wheels I was selling, I am debating on selling them or giving them to my kids.. but I don't want to create to apple fanboys... j/k.. lol.. I have a nook made into a tablet but its a compromise at best.. a real tablet like yours is leaps and bounds better..

Ipad no good? I am looking for something I can take a picture withand show roof damage to customers. Something I can stand there and say, this is your roof, this is the damage, this is how I fixed it. All fancy touch screen stuff. I have an ipod, hate the thing, it is nice yeah, but to hard to use. A 5 year old could probably load the thing full of music, but me, know, I can drag and drop

I bought one of those HP tablets last year when they were $99 but I never got into it. I can see where it can be more convenient and useful than a laptop but mine is still in the original box.
Those tablets are nice, my buddy has one.
