[FireVan]

I use to visit here before with a different name but it was deleted due to inactivity. Sometimes i go months without time to spend on the computer. Anyway I am here now and go by a name that represents the van I am currently building. I have begun to outfit a red '98 AWD Astro as a First Response unit. I am going for about 6" of lift and 31" tires. I am also removing all the exterior trim and will give it a rugged utility type look. I call it "Project 1455" and hope to have it completed this spring.

I have been lifting Astro/Safari vans for about a decade. And have never been without one. Here are some of the ones I have owned and built. Good to be here.

1992 AWD Safari, 5" lift, 31x10.50 tires

1994 2WD Safari, 4+" lift, 30x9.50 tires

1993 AWD Astro, +5/6", 235/75R15 tires, tube bumpers, skid

1996 2WD Astro, 8" lift, 245/75R16 tires
