Hello All,

Just as the subject line, has anyone fit Syclone exhaust Manifolds on an AstroSafari?

I have a complete Syclone exhaust manifolds and turbo setup as well as Marine intake that I had bought for another project but is now just collecting dust in my garage. Would a 2" body lift on my 2002 GMC give me the room or would I need more lift? Also the forward crossover interference with steering. I guess I could modify the crossover to go above and further forward in front of the crank pully.

Anybody done it? Ive looked but found mostly remote mounts...

I don't think it will fit in stock locations but if you know someone that could bend piping its possible. I have yet to see it done to be honest though. On my 89 the alternator and ps pump are in the same locations as the picture you posted I think the turbo would hit the side of the doghouse and the y pipe is definitely not gonna fit. Best thing to do is to find a junk Astro rear drive with the engine out and measure from side to side/top to bottom etc. I would love to follow if your going to do this just to see it come together. I really dont think it will fit but I was hoping someone found a way. I think the drivers side will be the snag getting around the gearbox and steering lines.

I have no idea if they will fit.

But having successfully done a remote mount turbo, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Pretty much any bad thing said about it is wrong.
I got convinced when I DID IT.

No you are right if you size the turbine ar ratio correctly and the compressor aint too big it will spool nicely. I just hate to scavenge oil if I don't half to... Nothing worse having to drive home fogging mosquitos when your pump fails...

Having this kit is killing me not using it... I bought it for an Iroc that blew its 305 and I swapped in a 4.3 and planned on boosting it but I had a guy want the car so badly he made me sell it.

If I had that system I would find an old Vega or something to drop it in with quite mufflers and keep it stock looking. That would be a blast. Or you could do late 70's or early 80's G body. Or even a totally stock looking base model S-10 truck.
