so has anybody tried these?

from cross referencing the factory exhaust manifold part numbers for my 1999 2WD to available direct fit shorty headers i came up with these :

hedd12.jpg

the passenger side is S10 but the driver side is 1996-98 full size truck.
note that i haven't tried mine on yet because the original exhaust is still good & i didn't want to cut it all off yet, so i can't confirm fitment.
in your picture note how far the driver side center pipe sticks out before it turns down compared to the pic i added.
also the headers in your picture have the smog/air pump fittings (with caps & bolts if you don't need them), my van doesn't have the smog pump.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but GM has always been known for the worst design in Y pipes. they double pipe them which makes them tiny inside and the bends are horrible on flow. Point being if your going to install headers you may as well get a Y pipe custom made using one of these.....https://www.ebay.com/i/402431746616?chn ... CoEALw_wcB

Finally getting around to installing those pacesetter headers I posted 2 years ago, lol.

I now know why there is a different part for the 2003-2005 headers... The side with the 2 ports on it are for the air injection system which isn't present on my van. also, the middle pipe sticks out too far and will hit the frame.

looks like these will be going up for sale.

yeah I just found that pic the other day!

the frames are not different.
can't just say "those JBAs", they have many

here's mine, I had looked at a lot of stuff and made a calculated risk that they would fit. dunno if I was right yet.
these are for an earlier full size pickup

Sorry, I was referring to fire57's post of the JBA 1840-S3 headers he has on his. The strange thing is, the shape looks about the same as the pacesetters that akforceteen used. I feel like I'm missing something if the frame is the same.

EDIT: I am missing something, its not the frame its going to hit, its the body. I think my 2" body lift might not be enough, everyone with headers mentioned a 3" lift.

What is the part # for the ones you posted, those look tighter.

Mine are:
JBA Shorty Headers 1841SJT GM 88-95 Truck

There is another model without the air injection tubes on the front primairys (hahha) that is the same shape. But when mine came up, they were too good a deal to let pass by.

these:
JBA 1840S Shorty Header, 88-95 GM Truck 4.3L

you have to be real carefull though because these are different. Don't get -3s
JBA 1840S-3 Shorty Header, 88-95/02-03 Blazer 4.3L

https://www.ebay.com/itm/383653331930?epid=192941768&hash=item59538543da:g:J3sAAOSwhqVfIC~m

Keep in mind that I don't KNOW what fits or not, but I did spend some money on my belief.

Those JBA 1840S do indeed look like they would fit where as the JBA 1840S-3 do not.

I actually just emailed JBA a few minutes ago to see what they say about fitting headers on our vans.
