Hi, my name is Steve and I just joined the forum. I have a 95 Astro van and I try to do as much work on it myself as possible. It has right at 260,000 miles on it and has been a great vehicle, no major engine or transmission problems so far. I appreciate very much the opportunity to use these forums and hope I can contribute in some way.

Hi steverino
Welcome aboard, just a suggestion here with that many miles on it, is to not work the old girl to hard at this point. I had to replace my motor at 300,000 miles (500,000 km) because I was to hard on mine.

My engine had a hard life though, I used it commercially for the first 2 years of it. Keep your foot out of it, change the oil frequently and you should get many more miles from her. I still feel I could have gotten another 100,000 miles out of it if I wasn't so hard on mine at times. I'm a bit surprised my transmission has held out as long as it has (original).

Again Welcome aboard steverino, we will do our best to answer any questions you may have.:)
