Hi and welcome from another newbie ;)

Great van you've got there. What kind of restoration are you doing? Just mechanical, just cosmetic or both? Any more pics?

Cool, looks like you got a good start on it. Are you going to put the 4.3L back in or is a V8 conversion in store for your van?

Nice work! Looks like you had a bit of rust/rot to deal with. How long has that taken you so far?

I'd just be happy to get my engine swap done and over with....

Yes the V6 goes back in a V8 swamp would be nice but with all the rules we have here in the netherlands its almost
imposseble.
This took me 2 years and yes there was a lot of rust on it, but we getting there.

If you put an engine in a car thats not original made for that type of car you have to let you car inspect
and then you get a new registration , and thats cost a lot of mony and time.
If you make changes who are not on the registraion paper and you get an accident your insurance will not pay :banghead:

Ok. It is the same way here, at least with the insurance company my wife and I have. I'm not sure about the registration but my I changed the engine, I did notify my insurance company. My insurance agent is a good friend and he knew I was doing the swap and told me about the clause in my policy. Last thing anyone needs is to pay for insurance and when you need it, you find out you are not covered.
