2003 Safari, idles ok when start up, replaced IAC, still same problem
As the van starts to move the engine will idle up faster as the speed get faster. its like the cruise control is on, pulled main 50amp fuse for cruise control, still same problem
Sometimes when i get off the highway the idle is up high and wont come down ???
what is controlling the iac to raise the idle that high ? or is it something else
The only way to lower the idle is to shut off engine and wait 2-3 minutes, restart and its ok
i thought iac controlled the idle, not sure where to look, any help would be appreciated

You can disconnect the cruise cable from the throttle valve on the intake.
It is just clipped on to a ball head thing, right next to the throttle cable.
Maybe the cables are getting seized inside the sleeves.?
Some lubrication on the cables themselves might help them move more freely.
Did you check the inside floor carpet mat if it has moved up to the gas peddle.?
