What good is that bumper going to do up there? Would probably just fold in if hit, lots of leverage over the connection at the frame, blocking the lights, etc. Seems like that install was a massive failure.

Ya. I agree it doesn't look good that high. It looks like it could potentially work though... down about 5 inches and in about another 2 or 3.

Who knows if that is possible, but I just emailed him to send some photos of the brackets used to attach to the Astro.

The previous install of that bumper I saw (the Mule Exp. one: http://vanpireinc.com/shortcake/) had it tucked way back where it wrapped around the fenders and it was pretty clean looking.
It still stuck out farther than I'd want, but much nicer anyway.
It was sitting around the same height though. I don't see it blocking the lights, just replacing the turn signals. Those bumpers have built in signals anyway.

Has anyone tried using a tubular jk bumper with a brush guard, such as this one? I'm thinking about trying it but wondered if anyone has gone down that road or not.

This particular one won't reach all the way across, about mid headlight actually. Other then that, worth a shot huh. Please post your results here!

I did a thread on this JK bumper and wimptech is right, there is some modifications to make the aftermarket bumpers fit these vans
