Hi guys, 3months ago I had a leak from my ps pump and little leak in connection between hydroboost and master cylinder. So I changed the pump all the hoses and rebuild the hydroboost by the post here on the forum. I change the rubber gasket around the main piston or how you call it. Now I noticed leak again. But not from connection with master cylinder but on top of that. When I search some scheme of hydroboost it should be "hydroboost spool plug". Is it something I can fix with the rest of the gaskets from piratejacks rebuild kit? Thank you so much. This van is never ending story 😂🤦‍♂️

Practically every Astro I've had, the hydroboost units leak.
They don't leak under pressure.. but simply drip fluid while sitting.
Makes for a nice mess over time. I top off PS fluid about once a month.

My 2000 AWD had a pretty good leak a few years back, replaced it with a good unit from another Astro.
A year later... it's now dripping. Go figure.

I haven't personally rebuilt one YET.. but I will probably soon.
The trouble is supposed to be one simple big o-ring seal.

Not sure if your trouble is the same issue.

Yea every morning is couple of drops under the car. First leak was between hydroboost and master cylinder. So I rebuild it but just the gasket for the piston which pressing the master cylinder. It was good for couple months and now its leaking around the spool plug. But I found in another forum the piratejack rebuild kit should include that oring fo spool plug. So I think I have some fun for the weekend. Gonna do my leaky radiator and rear bearings as well. Wish me a luck 😂🤦‍♂️
