My '92 Astro is leaking power steering fluid and it appears to be an intermittent leak occurring on the brass cylinder of the Hydroboost. I do not know anything about Hydroboost, so I am wondering if this is something that can be repaired, or does the entire unit have to be replaced?

Thanks,

Paul

I should have re-posted after I finally solved my problem.

It took a while to figure out because the problem came and went. To make a long story short, I discovered a pinhole leak in the high pressure hose between the gear box and the power steering pump. It only leaked when the steering wheel was turned to full stop on either side, but when it did leak it shot a stream of fluid up to the hydroboost cylinder. So while it appeared as if that was the source of the leak, it was only the target of the leak. A new hose solved the problem.
