So we left Stockton Ca at 1pm on Tuesday the 8th got as far as Elko NV stopped at 10:30 pm.
Today (Wednesday) we got on the road at 8:30 and stopped early because we only got 5 hours sleep due to our dogs. We stopped in Green Wyoming. So far just shy of 900 miles. Tomorrow should be our long day since we will leave here early and end around 7 pm. Mark

Safe Travels!

Just completed a 22 hour trip with No layover down the Coast, from Boston to Daytona in Surfari.

The nicest of the Astro/Safari Vans that I've owned, but still one of the worst vehicles for road noise. With that said, a great consistent workhorse.

Glad to hear the news. Good thing you got through Chicago when you did. It was an absolute nitemare today..Over an hour in delays from construction, wrecks, and fires.

clean out the barn so I can set up a shop area for my tools. There are 4 electric motors in the barn and I hope to build a belt sander to help me make parts. I want ti build my own steps for the van kind of like the tube type they sell but my own design. Then i have to figure out how to put my van away for winter since the barn was not built to hold a vehicle. I will have a dumpster brought in soon. And then there is so much scrap metal here I will go through it all and scrap it since prices are climbing. Mark

I'm still chuckling at the " I-80 Trio " post title.
Isn't I-80 the one with the wierd whoopty do feeling to the road ride not actual whoopty do's but dip rise dip rise all the way.I was out on a tour in the mid 80's driving a 35 foot Pacemaker and that is one road I remember wel. Along with the stretch between Grand Junction,I think, and Omaha in a blizzard blue iced hwy with truckers do'n 60 plus and the right lane do'n forty five at best, brake lights speed up brake lights soeed up tough drive semi's blocking the crpsswind that I had to stear into then correct as they sucked me toward their lane and trailers as they passed.
