ok i was on back in 05 with two astros, one had a v8 anyway i sold them both and now today i bought a 97 gmc safari from florida ith 103000 miles on it, very very clean underneath no rust at all but a little damage from the sun on the dash and arm rests on th doors, it is a pukey green and gold color but i would like to lower it a bit and get some rims, anyone know what these v6s get for mileage? it is only 2 wheel drive i will post some pics tonight when i get home

Welcome back. Post some pictures of the new ride. My 99 Safari averages around 20mpg combined city and hwy driving.

Welcome back! Got any pics of the old V8 Van? 2wd drive Vans depending on gear ratio should be around 20mpg. My '90 Safari doesn't do that good though, but she is old! :banghead:

my 98 4.3 is very clean and runs very smooth. It would do 18 mpg in the city driving it easy and like 23 on the hwy. Laetly it if doing 16 or 17 city with 21 hwy but I think its due ti a needed O2 change and a cat change which I plan to do next month. STill runs good and still gets good mpg. Internet says 17/19 new.
