Hello all,

I've recently bought an Astro Starcraft that came from Japan. inside I discovered loads of bits of extra kit that wasn't actually in the add for the vehicle - so far so good. one of things that I found were two IPF wireless remote control system devices, that when pressed flash on and off two sets of fog lamps at the front of the vehicle.

Has anyone had any experience with these devices before ? and how can I stop them from flashing to just 'staying on' so they're actually useful as fog lamps !

many thanks,
lebigsquare

Do they just come on then right back off, or are they flashing like a blinker.

If off and on, could just be a bad, well, switch so to speak.

It's just a remote to trigger the fog lamps on and off. IPF is the company that makes the system. The reason for the remote is you don't have to do any drilling or wiring through the firewall.

As for the lights flashing on and off, I would have to say their must be another flash relay installed somewhere to do this. I'm not up on this type of remote, so I can't comment anymore about it, sorry. Hopefully this will give you a starting point to check anyways.:)

I'm sure others will chime in if they can about this.:)

Yes, What they said. Trace the circuit, remove flash module, and your back to being legal in the US of A. Pix? Thanks, Jim
