Not sure where you live, but those running boards will save your Van from rusting on the rockers, keeps the snow and salt off the side of the Van. Just ask my Van how much it wishes it had running boards...... :lol:

Black ones would look better.

I live in Michigan... and because I find them to be so 80's Chique (and I kept tearing them off) I took them off. My rockers were already bad, but when I replace them, I'm laying on a thick coat of rubberized undercoat, then a few layers of bed liner... BLEH! to the running boards...

The rockers actually rust from the inside out. If you look in the front wheel wells, you will see a plastic cover that attaches to the fender and body. Behind that cover is a direct path to the inside of the rockers.
