I was just this week getting my white Macbook ready for ebay and decided to do a final cleaning of the keyboard, using very lightly dampened q-tips. I ended up with the same problem, my keyboard went totally haywire.
I took the keyboard out of the laptop, rinsed it in a distilled water bath for a while, then I shook it dry and wrapped it in plastic with rice. I'm going to give it at least a week and see if it's any better. :fingers-crossed:

Check on ifixit.com, there are a lot of repair guides for every kind of computer. Maybe you can run it on a usb keyboard while you try to fix it?

The BFG repair will be next thing I try.
I tried to open it up, but I can't figure out how to do it

Maybe I should use my 3lb. rubber mallet so I don't mar the finish.

Agreed, you wouldn't want to ruin the re-sale value!

If you like, you can bring it by Saturday and I can take a look and see if I can't get the board off. If not I got a 4200lb(roughly) hammer we can use to pop it open!

:D
