I have a recently aquired 1998 AWD astro with a Journeys Off Road 3-5" lift kit installed. I was crawling around underneath trying to diagnose what seems to be leaking front diff seals and I noticed that the bolt that connects the drivers side lower control arm bushing bracket to the front diff was so loose that the nut was about to fall off the bolt.

I don't even know what this bolt is called, so I'm having trouble finding any info like how this could happen or correct torque. Anyone seen this before, or have suggestions on how to fix correctly?

I'm attaching a photo after I tightened enough to get the nut to touch the bracket using 2 18mm sockets.

Update: Realized after posting that I called the front differential the transfer case. 🤦‍♂️
