Hi Everyone,
I've been wanting to build an LS powered AWD Astro for a while now. I started searching for parts and came across a couple things. The first is this pretty awesome Holley "Mid-Mount Complete Accessory System" or MMCAS for short. It's not cheap at $1800 for the base setup but it's pretty awesome how small it makes everything. The AC compressor and alternator pretty much sit directly in front of the heads. Check it out...

Because I want an AWD AStro/Safari, I'm also looking for cheap, shallow, steel oilpans that may fit or can be easily modded. I came across these...
Jegs 555-50228 - 6QT steel, remote oil filter required
$200 - $160 for the pan, $40 for the pickup

Summit SUM-G3610B - 7QT steel, remote oil filter required
$200 - $160 for the pan, $40 for the pickup

Here's the non-cheap ones that I was also checking out:
Holley 302-2 - Aluminum pan with integrated filter mount
$379 complete

Canton 16-278 "S-10 Conversion Pan" - 7QT steel
$555 - $274 for the pan, $111 for the pickup, $170 for the oil filter adapter

If everyone already knew about this stuff...nevermind. ;)
