Just wondering if anyone here (at AstroSafari.com) would be interested in my '94 Astro AWD. It is powered by a '98 Corvette LS1 engine and I installed the late model front end on it a couple of years ago. The engine was installed in 2002 and it has given me 100,000 kilometers of trouble free driving and is still running strong and is a BLAST to drive. The beefed up tranny was rebuilt in July to soften up the shifts and a new torque convertor was installed at that time. Many spare parts go with it. The van has been oiled yearly and other than a slightly collapsed rocker panel under the drivers door (slipped off the jack when I was changing the torsion bars) the body is in excellent shape for the year. This van is the most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. I know I can get into it and drive anywhere I wish at any time.

If interested and you are close to Ottawa, Ont., come and take it for a drive. You won't be disappointed. You can send me a PM, if you have any questions that need answering. I believe my web site showing the swap is still up and operating (I know I'm still paying for it) and there are pictures of the van ('94 front end) there as well. I am in no hurry to sell so don't make a 'sucker' bid. I am just getting to be a bit old for "hot-rodding" and my 20 year old grandson wishes to have the van and I don't really wish for him to have it, as I am sure he will do harm either to himself or others, if I were to sell it to him.

I am very interested but the 5200 mile round trip drive would suck up a weeks vacation and $1500 in gas (for two vehicles) plus a bunch of money for food & lodging.

What you have is what I am wanting to build but buying yours just doesn't work out with you being so far sway from me.

You mention a web site of yours with the LS1 swap info on it but I could not find a link to it with a search of your posts. Can you give me the address?

What was involved in the front end conversion? I really like the 95-up nose but there is a really nice 94 my wife wants us to get from a friend of hers but I hate the older nose. Any help would be appreciated.

Mike
