So when I go to google to search stuff. Many things are in Thai script. I lived over in Asia for many years so it is not that big of a deal. But in would be better to have it all in English.

You may have had a BHO infection which can happen to any browser , reinstalling Firefox fixed the problem , you likely installed the latest version ,, sometimes it necessary to scan computer with Trojan Remover , as many anti-virus programs cannot remove some trojans ,, I just used it and it found 3 trojans that the virus protection could not find , it can happen to any OS

I used to use AVG. Got viruses all the time.
Microsoft security essentials is what I use now.
When I first put it in it caught 3 viruses right off the bat.
People talk dirt about it saying it isn't any good because it a free program.
I will say one thing. I have not had to reboot anyone of 4 computers I own since I started using it.
2 with windows 7 and 2 with the old system.
I used to reboot the old system every few months because of the dreaded blue screen of death.
It was killin me I had to go look. XP Pro is what is in one desktop and one laptop. The other desktop and laptop have windows 7.

Not sure what you mean to send a trusted link ,, a link to what .. but here is a link to a Trojan remover that works good , I have used it for years and if you use the comprehensive search it can find the problem , the quick search may not find it right off .
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/details.html
worms ,viruses, malware , trojan horses , rootkits all with many variations , it is literally impossible for any one program to catch them all , even corporations use layers of protection even using portals where you use a password protected login in to a web site portal then use a different password/username to login into other servers on other layers of network .
Some trojans will use your cpu and memory in combination with other computers on the web , could be hundreds of them all together to create a high power hacking system that is nearly impossible to track the original source ,,

Google the Stuxnet virus and get a glimpse of what can be done with the right code . It takes a program designed specifically for Trojans to get the hard to get ones , the programs that are all-in-one programs are more for getting the consumer to think they are totally covered , but can't do it all , it be like a scaled down version of various progs , combined , So the sad thing is that no matter what OS you use or virus prog you use there will always be something that can attach itself to your system, if you search the web often the high risk there is , which is why I use multiple progs and learn the more intensive way they can be used as the simple scans may not catch all that it can ,, Microsoft often buys software companies and adds it to their products . Windows 7 Professional has a very good firewall . in the snap-in category , it is about the same level as a linux , but it takes a bit of study to learn how to configure it properly ,, as it is deep in the system in computer management

AVG used to be pretty good. I've just been using Windows Defender, Windows firewall, the past couple years and haven't had any troubles as well as Windows drain cleaner, Windows ham sandwich maker, but Windows Astro van washer hasn't been working at all lately.

The trojan scan did not find anything. Actually I may have dumped it when I did the reinstall of firefox. I would be worth it to me to have a pro setup my computer and teach me to use it.
When I have more time I am going to install ubuntu again and check it out.
