97 gms safari 2wd ...ok friday i was planning a trip to my dads house and took the van out for a spin to make sure everything was cool. then the van started to loose power and spudder then it shut off. wont start. i checked the fuses when i was waiting for AAA. i found the eng 20a fuse blown and looking like it got rather hot. then yesterday i tried to trouble shoot it i sprayed starter fluid to see if it would start no cigar. then i tried to test spark but couldnot seem to get the plug wires off so i took the distributor cap off then cranked the motor it turns and was sparking. any ideas where to start? oh and i replaced the fuse but no cigar.

When was the last time you had a tuneup?

Did it throw any codes?

Can you get fuel pressure? Or when you turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump?

And I would not suggest using starter fluid on fuel injected vehicles, that can cause more problems than anything.
