That looks really cool! I'd love to see how it looks once it's backlit!

Question-is the actual sweep of the old gauge the same as the sweep of the newer gauge? They look pretty similar, but looking at your odometer and stuff it looks like the newer face shifted numbers around a bit. Do this-check your MPH speed versus your km/h speed. That'll tell you if the sweep changed at all (and is thus not accurately telling you where the speed actually is). 40 km/h = 25 mph, 60 km/h = 37 mph, 80 km/h = 50 mph, 100 km/h = 62 mph, 120 km/h = 75 mph, and 140 km/h =87 mph.

If the sweep or the angles at which the needle versus the speed have changed, you might be reading off, especially at the extremes of the gauge's range.

i held the old one up to the newer one they look exactly the same. but im gonna speed test it by driving side by side with a friend to see if the speeds match up since im not to good at calibrating electrical/mechanical stuff.
ill put pictures up when its installed at night. i battery tested the bulbs with a battery charger and it looked awsome.

or just test it by using a gps unit
That'll work too. I suppose for a lot of people if the secondary numbers aren't accurate, it won't matter. I'm in Canada pretty often, so both the MPH and the km/h have to be right.

The reason I even bring all this up is because I believe that although the markings might be in teh same spots, I believe the actual needle starts from a different location between the two versions of the clusters. I dunno, check it out and let us know. Now I'm curious.

And, you still owe us a backlighting shot!

You can try sending the OP a PM, but he hasn't logged on in a year and a half. It would be nice to see it again, as I have no memory of what it looks like.

edit: deleted a stray number/typo
