It's not the only time that this has happened, but it's getting annoying. Whenever the weather gets cold & crummy, she refuses to start. Today was no different. I gave her a shot of ether, but she still didn't catch. But when it gets warm, she starts well.

HELP!

Hey: My '92 does the same thing . I just replaced the one coil mounted off of the manifold and the pick-up inside the Dist. It still turns over like it's going to start and after maybe 6 tries or so it will start. BUT not when it gets real cold.??

Delco for sure.

Maybe have a look at the Temp Sensor as well. Here are the readings for it:

Man, it's too freakin' cold outside to go fiddle under the doghouse! But she did start this morning now that the moisture has gone away.

Well, I finally got around to changing the DC&R today. The replacement DC has brass contacts instead of aluminum contacts, so I should have better conductivity. There was an awful lot of carbon build-up in the rotor top (where it makes with the center post). I wonder if that was part of the problem. I tried to get pix inside the cap, but no soap. Autofocus sux!

Had a cold snap last night, so we had the opportunity for the Acid Test. She did catch and run, but it was touch-and-go at the beginning. It still has to be an electrical problem somewhere in the ignition system.

Did you ever figure this out? My '99 used to do the same thing when I was in south florida.... anytime a tropical depression or hurricane came around,(low barometric pressure)it didn't wanna start. I replaced the coil and module as a pair, one of them fixed it..
