Hi!
Got a weird problem. Just changed the fuel pump assembly and fuel filter in my 99 Astro, 1 day later I've got a P1404 code (EGR not closing). Could I have done something when I changed the fuel pump? or is something totally unrelated and just a freak coincidence? I see alot of posts about carbon in the EGR valves, does this apply to the 99's as well?
Thanks in advance
steve
I would clean the EGR valve out. Assuming that the fuel pump was faulty and your fuel pressure wasn't what it should have been, now the change in the air/fuel ratio could change the readings.
