Very cool. I would highly recommend offering accessories, like the aforementioned tire carrier, shackle clevis, etc... but also jerry can holders, lock boxes, propane tank holder, etc.
On the tire rack, consider making it tilt back easily so the rear glass (dutch doors) can open easily without swinging out the spare.
Check out Herbie's bumper build on expedition portal... https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/ ... 63/page-13

Just my 2 cents FWIW.

Just testing the waters to see if theres any interest in these bumpers. Built by me at my shop in NC ( Uwharrie Welding ) with all 3/16" and 1/4" steel plate/tubing and utilizes all 8 factory hitch bolt locations. These are built to be USED and ABUSED while keeping the rear corners of the van safe and keeping a great departure angle. View attachment 229278 View attachment 229280 View attachment 229282 The rear quarters of my van are trimmed up about 5 inches but it isn't necessary for the bumper to fit. The "base" version like in the pics would start at $400+shipping. A swing out tire carrier, shackles mounts, etc could be added for an additional cost.
I have an 89 astro van are you still selling these?

Here's a quick walk around video of the bumper. Do yall know how to embed the video into the post so you can watch it here? youtube has the "embed" code but i couldnt get it to work.

I am interested in your bumper , I would like to have safety chain loops ( i didn't see any) and possibly tabs at strongest point to attach clevis for tow lines 5/8 or 3/4 holes .. Thanks [email protected]
