I am new to the forum. This is my first post. I bought a 2002 Astro LS from Lattof Chev. in Arlington Heights, IL one month after 9/11. It had five miles on it. It now has 199,800 miles. Within a week we will celebrate "Vanna's" bicentennial birthday. My van has been a very good experience overall. Can't say enough good things about it. Is it perfect? No. But we anticipate it is not even close to the end of its useful life. I am a maintainer. I'm greasing the front end every 3,000 miles. I run Amsoil everywhere possible - engine, tranny, power steering, rear end. What have I had to do to it through the years? Front main seal, fuel pump, intake manifold and head gaskets (coolant getting in oil), distributor, passenger door window motor, rear axle bearings. I look forward to being a member of this site.

welcome to the family. my 87 has 300K+ miles. i do all the work on it that i can. it still runs strong. with good p.m. you should see mileage like this with yours. sounds like to me your baby is just getting broke in and ready to do some service for you. :twisted: :rockon:

I broke 233,000 miles on Saturday...Had my camera with me forgot to take a picture. I had a ford windstar before my 95 astro. I put 377,000 miles on it. I plan on breaking that record with my 95.

How did I miss this? Another member from Elgin with a high mileage van. I live over by Wing Park, but recently obtained access to a large heated garage off of Summit on the East side. Have a feeling I might be spending way too much time in that garage this winter. Currently considering servicing Grumpy's intake manifold gaskets this weekend.
