I've been using Ubuntu for a couple of years and it seems to be the best for me so far but I will try Fedora again.
What I like about Ubuntu is that I am starting to see more software "packages" that don't require a whole lot of command line work to get an application running. The only thing that I don't like about Libre Office is that if you import a file from one of the MS applications, all of the formatting is screwed up as soon as you save it and open it again. But I still use it for work because it lets me open all of those Office 2010 and 2013 files from people are too snooty to save it in the 97-2002 format.
The only thing that I have not conquered is the use of WINE. But the Ubuntu repository has just about everything that I need.. even DVD players and the Linux version of VLC.
