The house we were trying to purchase went into bankruptcy, so we can't buy it. We had a loan all lined up and ready to go but the owner filed bankruptcy so by the time its done we will have lost the really great interest rate since the finance company could only hold the rate for so long due to the current rates rising rapidly. So unless some kind of miracle happens we will be staying in NH at least till November/December. Then we are thinking of renting a small house somewhere in Texas for the rest of the winter. I hate the weather here in NH. Mark

I so sympathize with your situation, but NY is very beautiful in December.

My wife got a job then 6 months later she took over a management position so we will be here a while now, However she still wants to buy another small home in California when the prices drop for us to go to in the winter.
