I agree and I think that is why you find some long term members get a little bit short when it comes to people not providing details. Most of the time if they don't provide details either immediately or shortly after being asked for them I just write them off as spam. Though I do find it humorous when you have a single post from a new member with a vague question, no details at all, some random name, no profile picture or tiny pixelated image(esp female) that has 30 replies guessing at what it could be.
Introduce yourself, tell us about your van, describe the problems, what you have tried, what have you searched, post your solution when you do fix it, reply to people even if to say "I don't know", and say thanks once in a while. That is what decent people do, but it's the internet, the cost of entry is super cheap, they don't have to travel anywhere, talk to people in person, or pay for it(other than looking at ads), so you get all kinds.
