I wanted to get a preliminary feel on how this black grill I am getting from thegreenmachine is going to look. Also I really want to do my lights in an amber color, so I figured I would touch those up to be amber and see how that looks.
So Then I figured lets see how it would look with black cladding and bumper also.

:D

Not to shabby for my first photochop...I think this might be a photochop that needs to come to life :D

Here it is with just the black grill and red bowtie.

MORE:

Figured I would keep it going around the sides and the bumper so I could get the feel for it and see if any of you had any opinions. Plus I did the wheels in theses pics.

And here is the rear

Heres another possibly cool idea, Paint a black stripe all around the van that matches the height of the windows, and tint the passenger and drivers side windows.

Probably not something that I would end up doing, but it does kind of look cool, makes the van look a little longer to, at that point it would have to be a professional style paint job I don't know if I could rattle can something that nice, plus I would want it glossy like the windows. The cladding I would probably do with like a bed liner, so I wouldn't want that up above.

I wish painting it was as easy as photo-shopping it

Will do more later. POST YOUR COMMENTS AND FEEDBACK.

Did some more photo editing, added it to the original post up top, Took the cladding all around the vehicle and painted it black, and Then I decided it would look cool with a stripe at the window height and also tinted the drivers and passengers window.

I like the lower part painted black. Clear turn signals look way better! :)

Upper black for whatever reason in my mind associates with Ford Flex... :)
Don't know if I want to misconstrued for being a ford

:D I guess there is a minor resembalance there

I like the black top as well, but now it's been pointed out does kinda resemble a ford. One of the things I like about the 03+ is the body colour between the windows instead of black. But now I wonder.......

Looks good though. The badge on the grill I have for you isn't full red though, I used some leftover candy paint. I painted a spare I had red and it looked like a hookers lipstick.

Can't wait to get the grill on there, I think I will be painting the cladding in mid july when my dad comes back from visiting with the rest of the family... I am going to try to get him to help me doing the masking and stuff :D

Black & silver are a great color combo. I like the black grill, cladding & bumper, black rims, black between the windows but not along the whole top (a la Flex). It's a toss-up about the amber lenses tho. This is what your van could almost look like:

Granted, it'll never be as cool as a 1st gen shorty, but don't let that stop you from trying... :poke:

Granted the 1st gen shorties are cool. But I am a second gen person. I love my Gen II. It will be my classic car when I get older :D

I think you'll need to revisit this once you have the lift installed. That flex only looks lame cause the nose is long and its so low to the ground.

I've always been a fan of colored lenses. It wasn't till the ghetto bling era that clear crap and colored bulbs emerged. I guess I'm old school.
