does anyone know why my hose cracked. i was pulling up on my drive way when it just stared to spill all the fluid on the concrete. one thing that i have notice that it vibrates a lot where the pump is at. could that be a factor of why it crack. I took the picture from below the car and the crack is on the upper side where it makes the turn

If that pumps is vibrating, absolutely will that cause your problem. Are all of the accessory brackets in place? Especially the bracket that attaches to the back of the power steering pump to the engine block.

so the vibration would also explain why my hose comes lose when im driving. and all the fluid starts leaking and it hits the hots places and smoke starts to come from the bottom of the car.
